Out there, but has anyone experienced anything weird with tech devices lately, especialy cell phones

I helped out a friend today at his cell phone store, and had a few people come in with similar connectivity problems for which there didn't seem to be an available explanation. Then on the way home I call my sis, cell to cell, and have a short conversation with some female I thought was my sis, having dinner at some noisy Japanese restaurant. Call drops, so I call back, thinking I had just spoken to my sister who was out at dinner, and my sis answers and tells me she's home watching a movie, did not just speak with me - and has been home for some time. Her phone rang the first time I called but she didn't answer. Have no idea who I was talking to the first time. Double checked the call logs on my phone and the only activity for the preceding several hours were the two calls to my sis' number (her name showing on my phone for each since she's in the address book). No other calls out, missed or received.

Had read somewhere recently that solar flare activity was expected to spike in the near future. Maybe that had something to do with my experience today. So I ask, has anyone else had any strange experiences with cell phones or other tech-gadgets today or in the last few days?

1. Yes, quite possibly due to the high latitude geomagnetic storm in progress..

..sparked by solar wind hitting the Earth's magnetic field. The good news is that it is subsiding.

2. I keep hearing voices on my cell phone

I was playing a game and taking pictures one day and it made a funny noise and then I thought I heard a small, tinny voice saying "Hello? Hello, is anyone there?"

Scared the Hell out of me.

Seriously, sounds like your provider is having problems with call routing. Sometimes it gets so bad, you end up hearing other conversations or just single-ended voices talking to someone else. It happens.
