Fox Anchor Worries That Gay Couple In Glee Is "Product Placement"
Keith (anchorwoman): Bryan, what do you think of the homosexuality storylines that we’re having in more shows now?

Fischer: Well I’m deeply concerned bout this because what these television programs are doing is glamorizing homosexual behavior, glamorizing homosexual conduct. This is conduct that carries enormous psychological and physical risks to those who engage in it. It’s just not a lifestyle, it’s not behavior that ought to be glamorized or presented in a way that makes it idealistic.

Keith: And we all know about product placement. You throw a soda in a movie and within a few seconds later everyone in the theater is thirsty for that particular brand. Ray, what do you have to say to the people who say that this is propaganda, that this isn’t just storylines but the people have an agenda?

in great shape, and I'm a totally happy full-on bliss ninny.

I guess maybe I should get some therapy; it appears that I am at great risk due to my behavior.

17. All who oppose equality are just not very bright
They are like birthers, raving about others being illegitimate and not equal to themselves based on fact free 'belief' and prejudice. Gossipy, nasty, divisive people shouting 'the other, the other'!

20. Aside from all the big stupid, he's wrong about the advertising
It may seem minor, but product placement doesn't work like that. It is true that you can have a slight effect on an audience by showing refreshments--those who are already somewhat thirsty are more likely to notice their thirst. However, that effect has not been shown to have any connection to the brand. In other words, people sought out the beverage they usually wanted rather than the one advertised. So, following that research, showing people in relationships of any kind most likely only encourages viewers to get into a relationship, not necessarily a gay one.
