Caller says if we go bankrupt the environment doesn't matter

I saw washington journal and a republican called in on the subject of the gulf oil spill and said (I'm paraphrasing) "We have to start drilling again in the gulf, and pumping that oil. Its more important for our country to not go bankrupt then to worry about if the environment is destroyed."

This is a nice example of republican thinking, total short term, not caring about the long term effects or ramifications. - Its all about me, and what I want now!

10. I think most Republicans are either terrified or haters. They can't

abide Liberal policies because of their(the Reps) fears of "the other" and their hatred. They have been honed by years of RW radio Fox News.
