Tell what got you banned.

It was my very first post. And I never tried again.

I commented that I didn't think Ann Coulter seemed very nice.

1. I think it was posting a story about what Paul Wellstone had done for veterans.
Edited on Tue Apr-19-11 06:48 AM by Brickbat
I think it was when the VFW had endorsed Wellstone, and FR was in a tizzy over it, and I posted something like, "Well, it makes sense, because he DID do X, Y, an Z for vets." Must have been that liberal-biased reality that was too much.

2. The slightest hint of heresy gets you tombstoned.
That way, the Freeps can discuss among themselves how "libtards" suppress dissent, won't allow opposing voices to be heard, censor the news, etc.

3. My first post got me banned, too.
It was years ago, but IIRC, it was pointing out the hypocrisy of something, e.g., the Republicans spending like drunken sailors while calling the Democrats profligate.

6. Banned on my first post
I don't remember exactly what I said but it wasn't inflammatory, just mildly critical.

13. I visited the site once
ONCE!
It was so convoluted that I thought it hard to read and follow any conversations let alone understand their meaning.

I left and never clicked on any link leading to the site.

15. 3rd post: I asked if Dubya had ever apologised in public for something
after he made his 'apology' for Abu Ghraib to the king of Jordan (for some reason), in private. See http://political-apologies.wlu.ca/details.php?table=doc_press&id=111

It was a genuine question (I'd considered asking it on DU, but I knew I wouldn't get a serious answer). One or two of them did actually answer - they said he'd apologised for the collision between the US surveillance plane and the Chinese fighter (strictly, I think he got the US ambassador to make that apology); and I thought they might accept it, seeing as a Freeper shouldn't think a king (especially of another country) was the person to apologise to. But most of them went apeshit, damned me for a pinko commie dirtbag, said there was nothing to apologise about at Abu Ghraib, and I was banned that day. My 2 posts before that had just been factual corrections to something a Freeper had claimed.

16. Registered but never posted...couldn't think of anything
disgusting enough to "fit in", and figured it would be all too easy to get banned the first time I posted what I really thought.

So I never did post anything.

17. I'm active duty Navy
and was stationed on the USS RONALD REAGAN.

During one of their "slob-knobbering" RAY-gun fests about how "great it was to have a capital warship named for this 'double-plus good' Pretzledent", I posted:

"Actually it is fitting that we would name this ship after Reagan...it's $1B over budget, and will be the only ship to respond; 'I Don't Know', when the President asks; 'where are the carriers?'"

Took a few seconds, but I was gone.

So much for their claim of "supporting the troops", eh?
