Power did not change hands in '06 and '08.
We are still living in Dubya's 'Merika.

1. IMO the "real" wealth and power behind the scenes is still running the country and
thanks to SCOTUS with Citizens United that wealth and power will be ever increasing.

3. There's one political party in this country.
The Corporate Party.

Oh, there's a "fascist" wing and a "socialist" wing, and I'll vote for the "socialist" wing every time. But it's all still one big money party.

10. Not anymore.
It was when Gore was running. It's been co-opted. But I do think it's still a wee bit gentler than the fascist wing.

4. you aren't paying attention. and it's embarrassing such an asinine comment

8. Gotta go back further than that.. It starts with Reagan
Edited on Thu Apr-07-11 06:01 PM by SoCalDem
Clinton was hamstrung from day one, and when you look back at his much-touted accomplishments you'll see greasy thumbprints of republicans all over him and them...

The only time he "got things done", was when he "cooperated" with DLC (republican-lite) and republicans..

Nothing even remotely LIBERAL has been accomplished since LBJ.. The good economy Clinton had was due to the tech revolution that would have happened no matter who was president..

I'm glad he won instead of Bush1 or Dole, but the default switch has been set on "R" since Reagan, no matter who sits in the Oval office or in congress.
