1. Sorry Rastkah...the tsunami was 10 meters(32 feet)...

and your proclamations of 'your' plant being safe according to Russian calculations won't wash.

As for 'your' plant being in the hands of people who answer every problem with the saying 'As Allah Wills' leads one to shudder at the thought.

As to Fukushima, consider what the 10 meter wall of water did to the buildings in the town and surrounding area...at least the reactor buildings are still standing. One sees pics of large ships and large boats sitting on the top of 2 story building--tells a tale that we can all understand. Would hate to think of a nuke plant surrounded by a raging crowd following their leaders--the black hatted Mullahs screaming for total destruction of the western technology...as called for by the Koran.

Unless someone died this morning, the score, so to speak, is:

Tsunami: 25,000 deaths and almost total destruction on the northeast coast

Reactor plant: 0 deaths and destruction of only the plant...most of which is still standing.

Reinforced concrete elementary school completely destroyed with the loss of 139 kids and their teachers.

The Japanese are a manufacturing giant. They have virtually no oil of their own. They own the world's longest 'train' of supertankers plying constantly between the middle east and Japan. Without nuke power, their economy would crash. They literally have no choice.

3. Errm, it wasn't Rastkah who said the tsumani was 7m, that was narration by the article writer
You'll notice there are no " "s around the statement, nor any attribution of that statement to Rastkah.

And... why do you say that the assertion "won't wash"?

According to this Voice of America article (http://www.voanews.com/english/news/middle-east/Bushehr-Nuclear-Plant-Located-in-Earthquake-Prone-Iran-119401999.html) a Professor Mohammed Sahimi of USC says " ... As far as I know, there is no major active fault in southern Iran where the Bushehr reactor has been built."

The article goes on to say, among other things, that "Bushehr's reactor is a completely different design from the much older type that exploded at Chernobyl, Ukraine in 1986. The Iranian reactor, unlike the ones at Chernobyl, is completely encased in a massive concrete and steel containment vessel."

Would you care to share your sources?

(And by the way, I can assure you that Iranian engineers don't answer every problem with 'As Allah Wills'... that's like asserting that black people can't work in offices because their fingers are all covered with fried-chicken-grease... it's bigoted bullshit— And while we're at it: "Would hate to think of a nuke plant surrounded by a raging crowd following their leaders--the black hatted Mullahs screaming for total destruction of the western technology...as called for by the Koran." ... would you care to tell us where in the Qu'ran it calls for that?)
