Delta bans bulldogs on flights

ATLANTA -- Delta Air Lines has put bulldogs on its no-fly list, a move welcomed by animal advocates after a string of deaths involving the breed.

Of the 16 pets that died on Delta flights in 2010, six were bulldogs.

Delta in February said it would no longer carry American, English and French bulldogs, based on its review of animal incidents last year.

Delta spokesman Anthony Black said the airline saw a pattern involving animals susceptible to respiratory problems.

1. Delta bans Bulldogs because of fights.... no wait. I misread that. Sniffy cute little things.
I have had my problems getting a little doggy, from Pasadena, back from the Philippines. So I know how fragile dogs can be.

BTW we gave up and adopted her sister .... and then her brother. Shitting and pissing machines. But so cute. Kiss me!!!

2. Maybe we shouldn't breed dogs that can't breath?
As far as I am concerned, breeding dogs for exaggerated conformational characteristics regardless of viability is sick.

4. Q: Is it the exaggeratedly short snout or the protruding chest?

5. Snout.
They also have restrictions on other snub-nosed breeds. Pugs, I think.

6. It's a conspiracy by the boarding kennel industry.
Yeah...that's the ticket.
