Damm It - Abandoned Dog - Nice Rottryller in Sacramento CA
Edited on Thu Mar-31-11 07:14 PM by FreakinDJ
Thing followed my kid home from school - let me rephrase that - My Kid's best Friend's Grandma kind of put him up to let it follow him home. BIG PROBLEM - we already have 2 Terriers and ain't able to take on any more
Nice Looking Older Female Rott - looks to have been fixed it never had puppys - needs a home
Looks a little thin - so I'm feeding it. The kid is walking it down to the Vet right now to see if they recognize it but with all the foreclosures around here I already know why this dog is wandering around
1. Don't take him to the shelter, Calif kills a lot of dogs
It is not great for shelter dogs there. :( Call a Rottweiller Rescue, don't give him away either, unless you know the people - he can be used for pitbull bait.
I had to put my female Rottie down last July. She was less than 2 weeks from her 13th birthday. She had liver and bone cancer. I loved that dog like my own child. But unfortunately, I live in a mobile home park that does not allow any supposedly "dangerous dogs." They allowed me to have her because I have lived here since 1997. Have you tried contacting any Rottweiler rescue groups? Just Goggle them and i am sure there must be some in your area. I love Rotties. They are a wonderful dog. Please do send her to your local pound because she would be put down.
6. I'm googling the shelters now - but it appears many are closed down now
There is 1 it appears - 2 counties over that I'm sending an email to now and I took pictures to run a Lost & Found Add on Craig's List, but this neighborhood is being hit by the second / third wave of foreclosures right now and i think I can see the writing on the wall already
