I give up - the US is dead. The part worth saving at least
And the rest will rot to the core as the fish rots from the head down

During the Bush admin they stripped away our Constitutional rights

Since then the American People spoke and elected BHO

BHO repaid them by letting the Republicans go on their democricide with cutting unions, schools, police, etc

And BHO stood by.

He didn't put on his comfy shoes and march in WI

He didn't even say a thing

Lately its been as if Reagan were still president

Fuck it

It ain't worth it

Let the fish rot - there's nothing anyone can do

The Democratic Party has sold out

The GOP is already a subsidiary of Haliburton Corp

And any third party is doomed

So fuck it. I am waiting for the day that the US finally runs out of money, and the Fed is unable to preserve the union

At that time I highly reccomend to any and all of you to move somewhere friendly

Stay out of the boonies, and stay away from the Conservatives

At that point they'll be playing soldier with lots of guns and bombs - let them kill each other

Think of the Roman Empire in the long wake from Hellenistic Greece

21. I marched with many thousands this morning in downtown LA.
California is on the move.

We are going to raise our state taxes.

I think that will mean that we pay lower federal taxes since the amount we pay in state taxes is, if I understand it correctly, not subject to federal taxes.

California is deeply in debt -- but pays more than its share of federal taxes.

We are going to look out for ourselves and protect our union rights. We are also going to let the people in Louisiana and Mississippi, Ohio and Indiana live with the tax base they have after they have lowered all the incomes in their states.

The people united can never be divided.

7. K&R- I am reading a book about the US railroads in the 1850's, and how sections
of the US were in effect seperate countries, and the politicians were interested in their own financial gain above all else, while the "great men" of the day made their money by lies and intimidation and swindling...It sounds very like today, and it led directly to the Civil War.
(The book is "Hear That Lonesome Whistle Blow", by Dee Brown, who is a fine historian.)

16. That's why I keep telling people to turn off their TVs
The Libyans keep saying that if the UN would take out Libyan state TV, it would be one of the best things they could do to help the revolution.

Kill your TV. Decolonize your mind. See the reality outside the flickering screen, where a substantial part of the human race is rising up against its oppressors.

Nearly half a million marched in London today. I've seen tweets about actions taken against BofA branches here in the US, about a march in NYC, about all sorts of things that people all over the world are doing to fight and win. Stuff that is either not being shown or is being twisted all to hell on that damned one-way flickering screen.

Turn it off. Talk to real people. Use the internet for more than bitching on DU. Come back to reality.

The main thing you need for a revolution is hope. That would be why the TV is trying to kill it, why there are trolls here trying to bring you down and kill it.

Never give in. Never give up.

I have been through a lot of ups and downs in this country, and although I believe that we are on the down side of our prosperity and power, this slide will not be fast enough for me to worry about.

The pendulum will swing too far one way, then too far to the other way. That is how it has always been, and we have to keep pointing out the insanity of policies that are destructive.

Never have we swung too far toward liberal policy prescriptions or worldview.

It won't be easy, but sooner or later the real people in this country will push back hard enough to get a fair shake.

I wish that just once we could do it without getting skulls cracked and buildings burned down. It's as if the rich set up a people fleecing machine that they can't (or won't) control and they're amazed when there are people at the gates with pitchforks and torches. They're like a really stupid virus that doesn't know enough to quit before it kills the host.

25. How tiring.....
The US that's dead now recognizes that all citizens have the right to freely and openly serve in the military, and is moving towards a day when all may freely and openly marry.

The US that's dead recognizes that everyone have the right to health care (even if not provided by the Government)

The US that's dead recognizes that every woman has the legal expectation of being paid the salary as an equally qualified man.

Sorry you didn't get your pony.

They managed to stretch what should have been a 30-second question about women's pay and turned it into a 100 year war that took the attention, lives, and energy of THOUSANDS while they gathered all the power and money, and you think you've won.

Talk about a Pyrrhic Victory.

And having the right to become cannon fodder to protect corporate interests abroad -- whoop de frigging do!

Leave America, if you can still get out. If your are young up to 50 years old...GET OUT!

If you are beyond 50....then you need to make do with what will happen.

I say to the young folks. GET OUT! Maybe you can re-make your new country into a place that will be more Democratic...but in the meantime you can catch "WAVE OF GROWTH" that the US will no longer be able to support.

It's time to do the great "E-Migration." If you are young and fit and want to have a different life.

I wish I didn't have to say this.. :-(
