1. It's a distinct possibility.
Especially since the Republicans are the ones doing the redistricting.

6. A good DUer would have included this in their OP, agreed.

(snip)

Cleveland Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich and Cincinnati area Republican Rep. John Boehner are popular enough with their constituents to win re-election by healthy margins, although a new Public Policy Polling survey shows that voters around the state aren't overjoyed with either of them.

(snip)

Kucinich, who won 53 percent of the 2010 vote in his western Cuyahoga County district, has a 27 percent favorability rating statewide, and is viewed unfavorably by 40 percent of voters, the pollsters found. In 2012, Kucinich will likely face voters outside his home base because of redistricting.

Asked about the poll results, Kucinich replied: "They obviously have me confused with (Gov. John) Kasich."

A poll the group released last week found Kasich, a Republican, would lose a do-over election with former Democratic Gov. Ted Strickland by 15 points in a backlash over efforts to restrict the bargaining power of public employee labor unions.

3. Then may I offer this
Maybe it is time he join his former rival Sherrod Brown and RUN FOR THE F__ING SENATE WHERE HE CAN DO MORE GOOD, and also, be held a lot more responsible, since he will have to deal with people not from Cleveland.

5. I Like That Idea For Dennis - The Senate.......
I wasn't thinking like that. I was thinking he would primary Obama to bring him back to the left - but I like the Senate idea better.

11. Why not?
My god he'd be effective. A counter-weight to McCain, no less.

4. I Heard HIm On A Progressive Radio Show Last Week Indicating That This Is......
a distinct possibility. He said something to the effect that he's looking for another district to run in and he is out raising money for that purpose.

When I heard that - I thought - maybe he would sacrifice himself in the run-up for the 2012 election and primary Obama to try to bring him back from center right and more to the left.

Anybody have any comments about that?

7. I've come to understand that what's happening to this part of the country is a planned policy
of BOTH parties.

All my life, this country has always plenty of money to blow things up and then rebuild them better than before--so long as they were operating half way around the world. Cleveland? Detroit? Little to nothing.

It's an oft repeated joke that Detroit would benefit if OBL would chose it for a hideout. That's not a very funny joke. But these are not very funny times, and it reveals an underlying truth.
