1. Please get your facts straight. This is NOT IRAQ.
The reports coming from Libya state that there haven't been Libyan casualities. In fact, the Libyans yesterday had a big street party ---thousands and thousands participating!-- thanking the coalition nations for helping them.

What you are prommoting is exactly what Faux news is saying. That is worthy of thought.

That was the Libyan people.... 15,000 of them...gathered to thank the coalition for their efforts.

Could you please tell me when the Iraqis did that?

9. That's beautiful, thanks! Fifteen thousand gather to express their thanks,
but the "peace movement" is saying they are being killed. sigh..... We need to catch up on what is really PEACE.

I loved that elderly woman giving the V sign, with a grin. Heart-warming!

Thanks so much for finding this..I didn't see it yesterday. Could you please post it to my thread?

25. A great deal of civilians are loyal to Gaddafi
particularly in Tripoli. I realize you don't want to believe it but a missile did hit Gaddafi's compound in Tripoli, and yes, civilians were killed. This is not coming just from Gaddafi, this is coming from news stations around the world if you bothered to look. Hundreds if not thousands of Gaddafi loyalists surrounded the compound to discourage any bombing there... and they were civilians.

While you've been peddling the celebrating of the Libyans in and around Benghazi, in Tripoli civilian Gaddafi loyalists were also out in the streets in force protesting the West's involvement and waiving pictures of Gaddafi... tons of them. For some reason, you've been projecting the idea that all Libyans are anti-Gaddafi, no civilians have been killed, and all Libyans are joyful about the West's bombing. And you couldn't be more wrong. I don't know why you're so emphatic that no civilians on EITHER side have been killed when it's simply impossible for a missile to hit the Gaddafi compound in the city of Tripoli and not kill a single civilian. Are you not counting the civilians that are Gaddafi loyalists or still somehow refusing to believe they exist?

31. Your putdowns of me aside, I prefer to listen to the Libyan people rather than corporate news.
I would urge you to avail yourself of it, also.

You see? I was able to leave you with that suggestion without demeaning terms.

Given that you are claiming a "peace" perspective, I would advise you to use the same when you address people.

thank you.

37. the Libyan people?
WHICH ONES???? Good grief are you talking about Twitter??? Bunch of anonymous people who in the middle of a war are for some reason not out fighting it, protesting, hiding in their basements or fleeing and have all kinds of time to casually post shit on the internet. Do you seriously believe that some supposed Libyans on Twitter who are anti-Gaddafi are the ONLY authority as to what is going on in their entire country when they don't even have access to anything but Gaddafi propaganda news? How the hell do you know they are Libyans at ALL??? For heaven's sake it's TWITTER, and if the only "news" you're willing to glean from it is all anti-Gaddafi (aside from the fact that it's Twitter) than you aren't actually looking for any real news, are you?

Why are you not addressing anything that I and others here have mentioned about what is going on and instead insult us by trying to claim that there are no legitimate news sources in the entire world other than the anonymous Twitter postings from supposed Libyans that are anti-Gaddafi and even go so far as to further insult people by claiming THEY are getting propagandized and even "listening to Gaddafi"?

How about actually addressing some of these issues? Do you or do you not believe that a missile hit Gaddafi's compound in Tripoli? Do you or do you not believe that it is statistically impossible to bomb Gaddafi's compound in Tripoli without killing at least SOME civilians? Do you or do you not believe that there are a great many civilians that are loyal to Gaddafi? Do you or do you not believe that Libyan civilians are civilians deserving of identical protection whether they are loyal to Gaddafi or not? Do you or do you not believe that there are NO legitimate news sources in the entire world concerning what is going on in Libya other than supposed Libyans who are anti-Gaddafi that are posting on Twitter? Do you or do you not believe that anonymous people claiming to be Libyans on Twitter who are posting things that are anti-Gaddafi is a really foolish place to get ALL the "news" concerning what is going on in Libya?

To use your own phrase... the mind boggles.

as much as the people of Egypt and Libya do, then many of us poor people will have different feelings about this country,

I realize yodu are trying to paint me as some sort of infidel. MASS FAIL.

34. Repeating the same words over and over and not being willing to read what the other is
saying is not a conversation.

If you ever decide you actually want to converse rather than just posting demeaning comments, let me know.

We have been told over and over and over on DU that the difference between DU and freepers is the willingness to consider new thoughts.

I hope you will congitate on that.

30. Three simultaneous wars. It is a great accomplishment.
It is awesome to bomb for peace. The more bombs, the more peace.

It does appear to be counterintuitive, but it is not.

Not only that, but the reverse is also true. The more peace, the more bombs.

I can't wait until we bomb France. I am giddy at the prospect.
