Every day I log onto the Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel online edition (jsonline.com) and seek out a blog with a political bent and post the following:

"Since it cannot be found anywhere else in the Lamestream Media, I'll post it here.

Today, just today, we'll spend $450,000,000 on the two wars. Just today."


This costs me nothing, takes about a minute and has two benefits. It a) shames the bought-and-paid-for "free" press, and b) raised awareness regarding the issue.

Today I added the following to my entry:

"And now the middle class and poor will have a third war to fund too. Swell.

Wonder if we would intervene in Lybia if they did NOT have oil? Just look at all the oppressive regimes we ignore in non-oil producing countries. That'll answer your question."

Please consider taking similar action if you're so inclined. I love DU, and find it my most valuable reference for keeping informed, but we're "preaching to the choir" when we rant here. Let's get that message out to those who are poorly (or negatively) informed.
