Nuclear reactors popping
like popcorn but everything is A-OK. There is even less radiation leaking now that before the second explosion. The reactor core has not been breached, according to the media. The meltdowns, if mentioned at all, are only minor and partial.

Timex ain't got shit on those nuclear reactors. Thanks GE for a job well done.

1. The strength of these containment vessels has been really impressive
Seems like nothing but a full meltdown can breach them. Praise the lord for the people in those plants risking their bodies.

3. Yea, because you just know there are a bunch of them looking at the thing
and can see that it's not busted. Glad to have eyes on the scene.

12. Wouldn't it be somewhat obvious if a reactor was breached and full meltdown underway? nt

16. A blast that sent that building a thousand feet into the air might be a clue.

2. Radiation passes legal limits again at Number 1 reactor
http://news.xinhuanet.com/english2010/world/2011-03/14/c_13776556.htm

This after the explosion on Saturday and them flooding the reactor with sea water. We are not being told the truth.

4. Wait a minute...
Someone will be along momentarily to tell us what the truth is.

5. They likely don't even know the truth
to be honest. So they'd have little to tell us.

6. I do not understand why the guy is giving a press conference within minutes saying everything is ok
When he does not know the facts.

9. GE, they also produced a few of the reactors in the US
for that generation...

And they build the super over engineered Naval plants too.

8. I would suggest that it is far too early to really know

the full extent of the damage to any and all of the facilities. The dust hasn't even settled from this event yet.

An A-OK call from the media? I'll wait.

13. Steel containment vessel
+ seawater + Boric Acid + heat + radiation + hydrogen + oxygen + ...

You have to wonder how long it can last. If nothing else, rapid corrosion has to be a concern, especially when the outer concrete containment has been blown.

14. A bit hyperbolic?
There is plenty of reason for concern, but popping?
