I'm going to stop my monthly contribution to the DNC
and start giving it to the AFL/CIO. I am on SSDI and make enough to live comfortbly, but must give sparingly. I have given 10 bucks a month to the DNC for several years now. Occasionally I will send off 25 bucks to someone who I think is particularly worthy. All that is done now. If any Dem wants some of what I have left they will have to cozy up to the Unions. Workers of the World, UNITE!

Woof

2. I stopped when they banished Dean,
and then took credit for his work.

You see how the well they did in 2010?

13. Dean was the best ever. Repubs terrified of him
and still trash him whenever they can.

4. Banished?
His term expired, and a new Chairman was elected.

5. Elected?
Appointed. By Obama.

And the 50-state strategy abandoned. Too much main street influence, I suspect.

8. 1/21/2009: Tim Kaine Elected DNC Chairman Today
This afternoon at the DNC's Winter Meeting members of the DNC voted to electVirginia Governor Tim Kaine to be the next Chairman of the Democratic National Committee. A successful governor and committed Democrat, Gov. Kaine will work to carry the banner of the Democratic Party, engage citizens in civic life through the Party, and help promote President Obama's agenda to get our country back on track.

The full membership of the DNC convened at 1 pm at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park inWashington, DC. Outgoing Chairman Gov. Howard Dean was also thanked for his service to the DNC and his visionary 50-state strategy that helped transform the Party to a national entity and was instrumental in President Obama's victory as well as Democrats up and down the ticket.

Also at the meeting, members of the DNC voted to elect Donna Brazile as Vice Chair for Voter Registration and Participation. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz was also elected Vice Chair and Jane Stetson was elected National Finance Chair. Linda Chavez-Thompson and Rep. Mike Honda were re-elected as Vice Chairs; Also re-elected were Alice Travis Germond as Secretary of the DNC and Andrew Tobias as Treasurer. Officers of the DNC serve four year terms.

"It's my honor to help lead this great party and to grow the movement built by our new President, by Howard Dean and all of you during these times of incredible challenge and incredible opportunity," said DNC Chairman Tim Kaine. "Today I take on the responsibility of chairing the DNC with pride about what we've just done -- but also with a deep sense of what we have yet to accomplish."

6. The current chairmen is a useless, feckless, wanker who has
completely ignored the good work Dean did in the past to win elections and has gone back to the losing ways. Instead of trying to do more of what Dean was doing the DNC has reversed course and Obama chose this fool who is currently in charge. The fact that Obama didn't see the need to find a place for Dean and to continue his policies shows exactly what wing of the Democratic party he aligns himself with and it's not the Democratic wing of the party.

12. And the results of the new chairman and throwing out Dean's 50 state strategy?
Overwhelming (historic) defeats for The Democrats in 2010,
but instead of looking at the Leadership and their failures,
they, and their "supporters" here, have chosen to Blame the Voters.

Blaming the foot soldiers for a Failure of Leadership NEVER works.

Who will STAND and represent THIS American Majority?
Rhetoric, broken promises, and excuses mean NOTHING now.
"By their WORKS you will know them,"
and by their WORKS they will be judged.

7. Me too.
..and the DCCC who still haven't taken 'go to hell' as an answer when they call..

I give to groups and specific individuals. Tired of having 'the party' decide whom to support and whom to desert..

9. Yah, fuck the DNC
Edited on Fri Mar-11-11 03:46 PM by peopleb4money
I don't think there's much of a difference between them and the Republicans anymore. If all the teabaggers weren't so racist, they'd see there's little difference too.

16. I don't know why they ask us for money anyhow, don't they
get the majority of their funding from Wall St.?

Good idea, strengthen the unions and anyone else actually working for the people. One thing is obvious, politicians are not doing so.
