Oh lord
I just turned MSNBC on and i'm literally shocked in terror of what i am seeing. Is there anywhere for a donation for a relief fund. Oh god i'm going to pray for the people of Japan. And for the areas that will be hit by the Tsunami.

1. The Japanese should be able to handle this on their own.

At least based on damage so far.

It will be a full scale military endeavor. But they are pretty capable and fairly wealthy.

4. They may still go mutual aid
and ICRC will establish a fund, oh and the Japanese Red Cross will have one too.

You can bet your ass that Rescue teams are going on alert as I type around the world.

7. Announced request for foreign help on TV.
They're going to need international rescue teams. But this is only the first wave and the first location of the tsunami. Russia has evacuated people. Hawaii is moving them to higher ground. We have no idea how this is going to affect all the smaller islands under the warning.

2. A tragedy.....
for sure. I hope that folks were able to evacuate, and that injury and death
is minimal...although that was a truly strong earthquake....

However, I will say that MSNBC's reportage on this tragedy is horrible.
It's like watching kids report.
