Just heard Richard Wolffe's thoughts on Peter King's prove to me that you are not a Muslim
terrorist hearings on Stephanie Miller's show he was great.

"Peter King really did pal around with terrorists in the I.R.A. and so he isn't bothered by hypocrisy.
So why don't we have hearings about if American Catholics are more loyal to Rome or the United

Not only are King's hearings racist xenophobic crap but they are kind of unconstitutional too.

6. i don't think the hearings themselves are unconstitutional.

deplorable, odious, offensive, divisive, idiotic, grandstanding, and all manner of disgusting, but not unconstitutional.

the first amendment restricts the laws that congress can make, but not the hearings it can hold. hearings that discriminate on the basis of religion certainly violates the spirit of the first amendment, but not the letter. there are, however a few federal laws protecting freedom of religion and the hearings might well run afoul of them (though even there, congress typically exempts themselves from such laws).
