March 8 is the birthday of the single greatest woman on planet earth, although she will never ever say such a thing. The woman who gave birth to me and my sister. The woman who kept the family together. The woman who managed the money, sent us to school, made damn sure we knew right from wrong, cared for us more than we cared for ourselves, was there during good times as well as bad times, saw us (mostly me) through some hare brained stuff, and can never be topped. My mom. Not my mother because she does not like that. My mom. She is the single toughest lady I have ever had the privilege of knowing and I'm proud to be her son. She was a helluva mom and still is in spite of her somewhat crazy son. I love her and would throw myself in front of a car to save her if I had to.
Sorry if this sounds sappy. I am not a professional writer but I try.
