Assange also confirmed that WikiLeaks was holding a vast amount of material about Bank of America which it intends to release early next year.

"We don't want the bank to suffer unless it's called for," Assange told The Times. "But if its management is operating in a responsive way there will be resignations," he said, without giving details about the material.

Shares in Bank of America have fallen amid speculation that it was a WikiLeaks target.

My business will be switched completely to the credit union by tomorrow afternoon. I for one am hoping that revelations bring that corrupt machine down.

3. No, it will take some time
For a lot of bad reasons, I'm having to share my SO's account right now. And he's with BoA. *sigh*

In the coming year I hope to start a new business and use a local bank for that. Hope to get him to move to a local bank or credit union.

It will happen, but not overnight.

4. Did that a long time ago!
Even before the Bush recession! Took my personnel account out and put it in the local credit union, and then took by business account out of another bank and put it in the credit union also! Now I am trying to get my dad to move his accounts, but he just isn't listening yet!

5. Changing to a credit union is the best thing I ever did.
Here is a website for one if you're in the Pacific Northwest that is excellent. https://www.becu.org/Default.aspx

Your assets are insured just as those in a bank. The rates are more competitive and there's a sense of community
and cooperation extended to clients I never experienced at a traditional bank.
