“I think the officer that took me to the ground was too aggressive in his approach,” Rep. Nick Milroy (D-South Range) said in a Friday news conference.
He acknowledged Friday he himself had been aggressive in trying to get into the building, but he felt strongly lawmakers should be able to get into their offices.

Milroy was let in the building a few minutes later through a different entrance. Milroy said he apologized to the officer and was not seeking an apology back.
“Law enforcement is just following the orders that come down from (Gov. Scott) Walker,” Milroy said. “We have a palace guard mentality at the Capitol.”

That story also says that Capitol Police Chief Charles Tubbs is seeking more information on the incident.

Wisconsin state Rep. Nick Milroy (D), who was denied entry to the state Capitol last evening, has issued a statement about his scuffle with police. (Amusingly, the file name for the Word doc emailed by Milroy's office is "Tackle Statement.") Says Milroy, in trying to downplay the situation: "This armed-palace environment created by Gov. Walker has everyone feeling very tense and emotions are running high."
This is the link to the statement Milroy issued:
