1. from a co-pollster
co-pollster Bill McInturff puts it, between a cliff and a charging tiger. “It may be hard to understand why a person might jump off a cliff, unless you understand they’re being chased by a tiger,” he said. “That tiger is the Tea Party.” McInturff’s explanation: The Americans who are most concerned about spending cuts are core Republicans and conservatives, not independents or swing voters.

From Chuck Todd, Mark Murray, Domenico Montanaro, and Ali Weinberg

5. My problem with that analogy is as follows....
The reason that Homo Sapiens run this planet and not Panthera Tigris is because Humans have large brains that allow them to make tools (weapons) that compensate for their lack of teeth, speed and claws, thereby making them better at killing than the tigers who would otherwise run them off of said cliff.
The only reason the Republicans are WILLING to jump off this cliff, rather than stand and FIGHT this animal (of their own creation, mind you) is because they, en mass, know they do not possess minds and tools, and spines capable of putting this monster down. Mostly its about being chicken.
Progressive/Liberals in both major parties have no such problem. And I think the Tiger is beginning to figure that out. I have the same amount of sympathy for the GOP as I do for the circus tamer who gets mauled by his/her cute, cuddly, and oh-so-loving Bengal Tiger, because they were stupid enough to forget that what "kitty" wants deep down in kitty's heart is to hunt, kill and eat.
The GOP forgot that if your house cat were big enough, it would eat you.
So fuck 'em.

4. Mike Huckabee can't even keep his own state safe from thugs and criminals
He pardons cop killers and rapists to run the street.

American cannot afford Mike Huckabee's liberal policies on crime.
