It has been a wild year, and I know DU means a lot to me when during these stressful final weeks of the year I turn here to my friends.

Thank you.

I know we sometimes, even often, disagree, but nevertheless this is the place I turn.

You inform me.

You teach me.

You calm me down.

You inspire me.

To make a long story short, I love this place, and have loved it since 2003.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for scolding me, teaching me, lifting me up, kicking me in the head when necessary, and just guiding me and being my mentors during a very wonderful but confusing period in my life.

I love Democratic Underground, everyone in it, and the tons of opportunities to learn and become a better person.

Be well, all of you, and I hope you have a wonderful 2011, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for the important lessons you have taught me over the past two years.

sometimes I have gotten upset and one time I left and swore I would never come back. Then I had a death in my family and came here in my grief and got so much support that I know I'll be here no matter what. This is a wonderful place full of terrific people. :grouphug: All the best to you! :hug:
