Gas Well Explosion In Avella,Pa!


AVELLA (KDKA) — Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a reported gas well explosion in Washington County Wednesday evening.

It happened along Meadowcroft Road in Avella.

Witnesses say flames can be seen in the distance.

So far, there is no word on what caused it.

According to initial reports, two people have been flown from the scene by medical helicopters.

1. A large share of the Marcellus Shale wells in western PA have been drilled in Washington County.

Hillsides are exploding all over Pennsylvania with little or no consequence to the Corporations. I hope the people who were injured will be okay. The oil companies are choosing profits over peoples' lives.

...AND STILL GOVERNOR TOM CORBETT REFUSES TO CHARGE THE ROBBER BARONS ANY EXTRACTION TAXES!
