What if the Union busting is a red herring, a distraction from the real thing in the bill
the one that allows the public utilities to be (? what does it allow, exactly?) to be managed by private (eg, Koch) contractors?

Could this be what is really going on? When Walker finally capitulates on the union part, everyone is so happy that they don't notice the other provision?

12. No, that the union busting was to distract from the real issue
To divert attention away from the provision where Koch would benefit.

That way, if Walker must give in to the public pressure about the union busting, he still has the nice Koch giveaway that nobody was paying attention to.

19. No, the Koch brothers are zealous ideologues and I'm sure see the destruction of unions
and eliminating that upward pressure on wages and benefits along with killing a revenue source other than corporate money in American politics as better than ca$h and property.

20. Kochs have many union employees
And they'd like to have none. That way they could be closer to their dream of having nothing but slaves.

17. Political support for politicians who might oppose them
Edited on Wed Feb-23-11 08:55 PM by JHB
Cripple a major source of opponents' financial and manpower support, cripple opponents. Simple.

Plus they get to screw people who annoy them. never underestimate the power of jerkhood.

21. Both are part of neo-liberalism
Destroy the unions and privatize the utilities and anything else they can steal.
