1. Maybe we could adopt a few more fake narratives and turn the whole thing red...
Woo-hoo!!!

2. Let me be very succinct: Obama was not the great Democratic hope we had assumed he was.
I believe Obama is ultimately just another high priest to the Lords of Money. I believe his election was allowed to make the compromise and surrender more palatable and to give the illusion of participation in the political process to the American middle class and persons of color. Same horse, just a different color.

5. The bottom social / economic scale will always be the Serfs.
Whether our Kings wear Red or Blue.

9. Absolutely. Those Kings and their retainers will always strive to protect THEIR social standing and
...and THEIR financial station.

6. The Problem is a Weak PARTY Not a Weak President
Obama has tried to do the right thing, but we never have the votes to get it through Congress
without huge compromises that bring accusations of "selling out".

What part of "we don't have the votes" don't you understand?

That "bully pulpit" thing only works for Republicans, because they OWN all the pulpits!

12. The problem is an utterly corrupt system. Democrat and Republican may well be two sides of the coin
...but it's two sides of the same coin.

And to your "Obama has tried to do the right thing...blah, blah, blah," has he really? I think not.

13. Of course it has something to do with it. But in the end, it's more Kabuki Theater than
...actual challenge to a broken system.

4. Nonchange we can't believe in.
But WE haven't ALLOWED ourselves to be so compromised -- rather, all too many that we elected have done so.

14. It's not easy being Blue...
Expectations have been flattened and run over. Nobody expected so much of the status quo to survive, let alone thrive, after the Bush years.

It was disheartening and depressing. Now we are required to stay Blue or we can see what will happen. It is not a good choice either way. It's just that one choice is god-awful.

15. Stay Blue or face the alternative. Sounds more like threat and extortion...
...than a new direction and the promise of hope.
