Citizen vigil to resume tomorrow
Historic demonstrations at the Capitol continued into a second week today with thousands of protesters again gathering on the grounds and inside the building. While many teachers and other public workers will be returning to their jobs after today, the citizen vigil organized by the Democracy Campaign will be resuming tomorrow and will continue Wednesday and Thursday. To sign up to participate, go here.

A recent Big Money Blog addressing the union-busting legislation that for the time being has produced a political stalemate in Madison was recently turned into a guest commentary published by The Capital Times.

Interest in Walker donors prompts huge spike in traffic on wisdc.org
The intense controversy surrounding Governor Scott Walker's proposed budget-repair bill has prompted considerable interest in who funded his campaign for the state's highest office and inspired several spontaneous campaigns to boycott Walker's donors. One such effort that directs people to information on the Democracy Campaign's website attracted close to 7,000 supporters to its Facebook page in a matter of days.

Such activity has dramatically increased traffic on wisdc.org. There have been 2.4 million hits to the website in the last week. That compares to just under 3.2 million hits in all of 2009.
