3. These people, like all right wing fanatics are not people one negotiates with
These are people that you defeat. End of story.

6. Women's rights are not negotiable
no man should be able to make reproductive decisions for any woman.

especially not a politician, and EVEN MORE so, not a religious leader with no respect for or understanding of science.

any politician who does should let Joe the Plumber be the doctor for their children - that would be the equivalent impact for their own lives.

then see how you like it.

9. I thought pro-choice was the middle ground
being you don't have to get an abortion if you feel it's wrong. But evidently the pro-life crowd won't compromise even there. They want the whole enchilada.

10. "They want the whole enchilada" -
That kind of sums it up about the republican party in it's entirety.

12. exactly... and I actually have some of my Catholic co-workers agreeing...
we talked one day about rape and incest.
and families with kids starving because they weren't planned
...they agreed.
we all have children.
and we all know women who were in bad situations.
it was a good talk.

13. Anyone that thought that wasn't really
all that into bodily autonomy for women, so I doubt recent events will make them change their minds. Being willing to compromise the rights of other human beings away means you don't care about them in the first place.

If anti-choicers had any interest in compromise, they'd already be pushing comprehensive sex education and handing out birth control like candy. You know, the stuff that actually cuts down on abortions. It isn't about abortion. If they won every single thing they asked for on abortion, they'd switch to trying to ban birth control pills and condoms. It's about controlling and punishing women and it always has been.
