1. Best of luck to the people of Bahrain
And I hope this doesn't make the government of the country I live in, the UAE, too jumpy.

4. Some new tweets from Nicholas Kristof, one of the people this list is following:
Kristof is a Pulitzer Prize-winning NY Times columnist.

Read from the bottom up to get these in chronological order.

5. So far I've seen two photos of the martyred protester who was killed with a shot to the head.
His name is Isa Abdulhasan; he was 52 years old. He was shot by police.

The photos are described in tweets as graphic and disturbing. That's an understatement. (Please, even if you look at the photos yourself (there are at least two photos of his body), don't post the photos here, in this thread.)

What was done to him will continue to fuel the protests, and it should fuel the world's outrage.

The tweets on that list have links to videos, too.

6. Link to Al Jazeera's live blog on Bahrain. They're also reporting something I saw tweeted
on this list -- that refrigerated trucks are being used by the army to take bodies away. The tweets on the list said the bodies are being taken to Saudi Arabia, but that hasn't been confirmed yet. The government is obviously trying to conceal the death toll (and probably trying to keep details about the deaths, and any more photos, from getting out).
