but other Wisconsin cities as well. They mentioned River Falls, Menominee (sp?) & Eau Claire.. All areas with branches of the University of Wisconsin but it is spreading around the state.

On Wisconsin!

after union workers everywhere. It's time for organizing in all states and we need to bring out the people in solidarity with the workers of Wisconsin.

It's time to put a stop to the Repug insanity. Thank you John Boner for the rallying cry you coined: So be it!!!!!!

14. The 6 o'clock news (channel 4) showed quite a lot of working people at the Minnesota capital today
supporting Dayton's budget. They only showed an inside shot but it looked like the Rotunda was packed.

11. Too bad it is not being covered in Wisconsin
At this moment you have to squint to see any mention of the protests on the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Home Page. Sports headlines dominate, while the most prominent headline dealing with the labor issues is "Legislative committee expected to begin budget bill consideration shortly". Honestly, potentially historic demonstrations are taking place in their own state and Wisconsin's largest newspaper chooses to ignore the protests and focus only on the legislators. If you search the site for "Tea Party" you get a hundred articles, but virtually none for the union protesters. This is what happens when large corporations control our media.

12. Protests in Appleton and Green Bay
students walking out of classes in 2 Appleton High Schools (probably all three, but I cannot confirm Appleton North H.S.). There are protests everywhere and almost no national media coverage. This lack of coverage is stark and frightening to me. I think we're done for. The local news is covering this, but the number of people out in the streets is huge! I can't believe it's almost being ignored.

15. 8, maybe 9 large districts are already closed tomorrow
general strike, or really a 'sick out' called for by teachers' union. Wisconsin unions now getting national union support in phone banking and dollars.
