Was anyone listening to Aljazeera English this morning when...
They interviewd Zahi Hawass, head of Egypt's Antiquities, the guy you always see on shows talking about the pyramids & other ancient Egyptian history?

I guess there are many calling for him to step down because he was closely tied to the Mubarak regime...And he had accepted a cabnet position just before the regime fell. Anyway, he started screaming at the Aljazeera woman interviewing him & then EVENTUALLY hung up on her! All she did was relay to him what others were saying & he flipped out!!

I have never cared for the man & it seems he has little respect for women...Maybe he would have screamed at a man the same way, who knows.

Did anyone hear it?

3. I had just started watching about ten minutes before that point
for the first time in a couple of days. I don't get nooz, so I periodically check AJE for updates.

What a hoot!

I also had a similar experience the Friday Mubarak resigned--I tuned in, after a couple of days out of the loop, about an hour before the "announcement," and when AJE said protesters had marched/were marching to the palace, I was like "oh, shit, I better watch this." So I got to watch the resignation, and subsequent jubilation of the people, live. Something to behold indeed. :)
