The Republicans Are MARKETING TREASON
:smoke: :smoke: :smoke:

" Treason is in the air. The Republican Party has declared war on America. While proclaiming the founding documents and holding up the Founding Fathers as heroes, the Republican Party has shown that it either doesn’t know what the Constitution really says, and if it does it doesn’t care, and that what the Founding Fathers really said is irrelevant compared to what Republicans say they said. Republican loyalty is neither to the actual, physical Constitution, nor to the very secular ideals of the European Enlightenment that gave birth to it and to this nation. Their loyalty is to a country that does not exist, has not existed, and was never meant to exist.

All they have to do to avoid charges of treason is convince you a lie is the truth. It’s an easy matter really: just rewrite the history books and keep repeating the lie. They have publishing houses, they have television networks, they have think tanks and they have political action committees up the wazoo and up the yin yang too. It’s a Republican mantra: when you lie, lie big. And blameshift: always, always, blame the other guy for what you’re doing.

So liberals who uphold liberty, that liberty which was the foundation of our country, are the true traitors, trying to destroy the country by…spreading liberty? Perhaps that’s what we should call red states, or any state south of the Mason-Dixon Line or west of the Mississippi: Suckerdom. Yes, there are actually people who believe this twisted crap; quite a lot of them. Entire states full. Certainly entire state houses.

There is a little bit of history every American should know:

Articles of Confederation: each state its own nation, own laws, own currency, own foreign policy. Literally a confederation of independent states.

Constitution: each state part of a national government, not independent, do not have own laws, own currency, or own foreign policy; all subject to federal law.

It should be obvious to everyone that the Republican Party is pro-Articles of Confederation, not pro-Constitution, and for the record, the Articles of Confederation were unmanageable, which is why they wrote the Constitution in the first place. One didn’t work; the other has for over two centuries.

A Taste of Treason. Just a few of those peddling in treason: Republican Party, FOX News, Birthers, Tenthers, Koch Brothers, Tea Party, Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, CPAC, the Supreme Court, the Religious Right, House of Representatives, Any state passing legislation allowing it to ignore federal law

1. But treason against a treasonous government is patriotism!
I'm sure that's what they'd say.

2. Compare the faces of the TEABAGS and the bigot faces blocking little black kids in Birmingham
The same flat-out insane racist expressions.
No intelligence, no reason, just racist xenophobic mob madness.

The effect is the same as the sexist madness of the super Islamic Fundamentalist toward the faces of women.

12. It's definitely the more primal side of the brain that drives this
And you can definitely see it in their faces, throughout time.

13. They can justify anything. They're experts at rationalizing and denial.
There's really no match for denial. I think that's what we're up against.

4. Re: "loyalty to rich, white men"
Edited on Mon Feb-14-11 05:38 PM by louis-t
I believe I have found the reason these types are able to justify voting against their own interests: Years ago I was talking to a guy (shop rat) that was spouting right-wing propaganda. I asked how he could vote for someone who wants him to work for less, wants to take his pension, wants his union to be destroyed. His answer? "Because I want to be rich." Translation: This guy believes he will someday be very rich. Even though only 2% of the population will ever have enough to benefit from Republican policies, he is arrogant and delusional enough to think he will be one of the few.

edit my spelling.

8. Remarkably, they have all bought into that
Their handlers tell them that they can be rich if they just work hard. So they work hard and don't get anywhere...then their handlers tell them...you aren't rich because of illegal immigration, if only we didn't have illegal immigration, you'd be wealthier beyond your imagination!
So, they hate illegal immigrants because the illegal immigrants steal their jobs and their money and their futures.

Their handlers tell them that they can be rich if they just work hard. So they work hard and don't get anywhere...then their handlers tell them...you aren't rich because of the Democrats. If we didn't have Democrats, you'd be wealthier beyond your imagination.
So, they hate Democrats because Democrats steal their jobs and their money and their future.

Their handlers tell them that they can be rich if they just work hard. They remind them to watch Fox news because it's the ONLY FAIR AND BALANCED news. They tell them to listen to Rush, et al because he CARES about you and he tells the truth. Their handlers tell them that any other news source is LYING to them and not to believe their lying eyes...they need to believe the government approved news sources because the republicans would NEVER lie to them.

They teach them a hate that is so visceral that it cannot be punctured with truth...because their handlers have convinced them beyond measure that the ONLY ones who care about them are the republicans. It is why this country will be a physically divided entity at some point.

Reasonable people can be reached. These people aren't reasonable. They are programmed robots that will do the bidding of their handlers--even at their own demise.

6. They've been doing it since the night of November 4, 2008
As Francis Schaeffer so eloquently put it, Obama's election "broke their brains."

9. The OP is pure crap.
None of what the OP says is true.

Obama will win easily, and if we work hard, we can regain the House.
