86 the "roadmap", and bring on the blueprints

I am sick to death of hearing about the roadmap to here or there, or to this or that.

The whole roadmap idea is subliminally indicating that the people using it are LOST, and need a map to find their way.

Why not a blueprint?

Blueprints are used to build something new (or sometimes to repair something old).

They are carefully detailed manifestations of what's in a building, how to make it all fit, and with instructions to help you get there.

Everything is carefully drawn & measured.

There is usually a rendering along with it that shows the finished work, so you know what it should all look like.
