The era of the traditional political revolution is dead. (Jackpine's Random Thoughts)

Egypt is the first instance of the new pattern--the Infolution. You may not need to spill nearly as much blood if you can spread access to information instead.

The international government attacks on Wikileaks and the like are a dying gasp of the Ancien Regime in which governments control people by controlling information.

The disinformation efforts of the Wingnutosphere and the corporate tools are getting wilder, crazier and more desperate by the moment. I think the C of C's latest round of attacks on Progressivism are signs that they are really losing it and know it.

And I too am due beer and travel money.

1. It all does boil down to:
INFORMATION = POWER

If the people have the information then they have the power...

now what do we do about FAUX news? They give (wrong) information to give people (false) power to do the bidding of a few elite?

that 1st Amendment is a really pesky thing.

2. Wrong information can only work if you have control over all information.
And I am due beer and travel money.

4. I think we're doing a good job just by laughing at Faux.
It's starting to become conventional wisdom, again thanks to the Internet.

Much more work to be done though.

3. The Internet revolution has begun.
The free flow information is much more powerful than their guns. Egypt is the proof.

Go Humanity!
