Egypt's bloody military coup..
I will give you the details in about a week.

So we go from bloodless to a bloody coup

If the only blood spilled is Honsi's then let it be written.

I believe the military won't let this get out of control , they will detain or kill him before the protests escalate out of control.

1. The military needs to provide a "shot across the bow" for Hosni. I'm thinking it's the only way
to avoid massive bloodshed.

military will side with the people. I hope they don't harm him though and just throw him in jail. Blood stained coups when the revolutionaries spill the blood never end well.

4. Don't know if the Military warrants our trust. They are part of the establishment,
they own businesses, don't pay taxes, get salaries and perks they won't want to give up. I'm paraphrasing some Bigwig on Dylan Ratigan who has worked on foreign policy in the Middle East for (I think they said) 5 administrations.

Jesus. What a nightmare.

5. The military will remain.
US aid will still flow.

I believe the military knows it's Honsi leaving , not them.

8. If it were as simple as Hosni's leaving, this would have been resolved long ago.
The issue is that the protests have been beyond the military's control; and they are not sure they can put them down, at least not and retain their aid from the U.S. and support from other countries.
