So Hosni Mubarek owns properties on Rodeo Drive
in Beverly Hills, some of the most expensive real estate in the world or so said a guest on Bill Maher tonight. I really don't think foreign dictators should be allowed to own chunks of the USA. What can we do about it?

1. Not much under current law
as long as they pay for it, and pay their taxes.

Unless somebody is forbidden from entering the country and has assets frozen...

He also owns part of CHILLLIES

3. I suppose you are right.
I would like to see our legislature pass a tax law that out of state real estate owners, like Oprah Winfrey and Warren Buffet and out of the country wealthy who own property, like all the Arab oil sheiks who own most of Beverly Hills have to pay extra property taxes for the privilege of ownership. It should help our State budget problems. It's time they paid since the money they have probably came out of our Treasury anyway.

7. some minor Saudi royalty owns a house near my girlfriend
Although to look at them you would think an Arab spin-off of the Jersey Shore was being filmed there.
