5. Or maybe because
Rachel's almost hour long live coverage (continued less succesfully on Ed's show) with Richard Engel and Brian Williams in Cairo was 1st rate and absolutely fascinating TV.

2. So?
We have a liberal-leaning media outlet on television. Finally. I thank the deity every day.

4. So - IMHO MSNBC should've hung on to the guy who built

their prime time.

Like O' Reilly, Hannity, and Beck aren't prima donnas on Faux. At least Murdoch and Ailes back their guys.

The temporary bump MSNBC experienced at 8pm after Keith Olbermann departed appears to have been just that: temporary.

In the weeks since Lawrence O'Donnell's ratings have dipped down and, contain your shock, Parker Spitzer's have been on the upswing.

The show is currently benefiting from CNN's primetime-wide upswing during the Egypt crisis -- they have trumped O'Donnell in the ratings the last two nights in a row.

But their gain in viewers was also apparent last week when in the days following the the State of the Union they slowly closed the gap.

13. Sure they should have. So does that mean we should throw a temper tantrum and ruin...
...everything that Keith built for us there?

8. O'Donnell is my least favorite of all of them
and that even includes Tweety. I didn't care that much for O'Donnell before but that time for him is awful, he's too low key for that spot.

9. Although Cairo is on fire, perhaps he can have some sort of housewife on to discuss that snookie

person and he can interview Barbara Walters so she can spout her right wing 'fears' of the muslim brotherhood over running Egypt and that some dictators are better than others. Perhaps he can chastise "the left' - you know, his audience, for not not genuflecting to his inside the beltway knowledge and experience. I know, he can have Congressman Grayson on - Oh wait...

I wish I could remember the name of the young women he did an interview with about social security so I could source this anecdote. She was representing some sort of senior citizens group and I don't even recall her position, but he was so patronizing and sexist that I couldn't believe what I was watching. He was almost to the point of saying that it was adorable that she had opinions and a job. It was so disgusting,

Yeah - I find it quite disappointing. At least I still have Rachel, and Ed is learning on his feet to be a good prime time host, but O'Donnell, meh. He's a little too haughty, self important and insider for my tastes.

14. BINGO - after having interviewed Baba Wawa and Bethenny Frankel as
"special guests", he really has nowhere else to go other than "Jersey Shore's" infamous "Snooki"!

I was trying to figure out if I could do something beyond the traditional facepalm!

10. O'Donnell had a tough act to follow.
Its too bad Spitzer has to share the show with Kathleen Parker. Without her I think i would be a regular viewer but she makes that show unwatchable for me.

I am surprised to see Piers Morgan edging out Rachel. Anyone know if he is still doing canned celeb interviews or is he doing a live show now with the Egypt situation, sort of like the old LKL format?

12. I like Spitzer I've been watching him instead of O'Donnell, he's
been good this week because he's been doing the show without Parker. I wish they would permanently leave her off of the show.

11. "Sleepy Time with Larry" is just not good TV
his lugubrious pacing and manner, the production of the show....it's fine for 10 ET, but for 8? Crazy. I'd rather watch almost anyone in his spot, except perhaps Cenk.

15. Odonnell is great but his show is too much like hardball
so it doesn't play well in that time slot. As said by other people, why would MSNBC give up the countdown format that worked so well in that time slot. I think he brings the kind of tough interviews and questions Tweety use to do. He's really a good hardball replacement, not really a good KO replacement. Their line up of shows doesn't really make sense right now.

I refuse to watch Parker/Spitzer because I find the every story has a conservative/liberal side the worst kind of TV.
