Jay Carney is the new Press Secretary

Per Washington Post, Carney who worked for Biden is in as the White's new Press Secretary.

1. The WaPo piece says that although they were talking about going outside for

a replacement, it turned out to be harder than anticipated, primarily because Gibbs enjoyed a close relationship w/Obama. So maybe he's become "close" to Carney, too.

Anybody know anything about him?

Politico reporter Mike Allen called Carney “a middle-of-the-road, well-connected journalist with establishment instincts.”

Married to Claire Shipman (who used to be on either ABC or CNN as a contributor but I haven't seen her in awhile). Carney is very easy on the eyes and has always struck me as being very calm. I wish him luck.

Obama should have chosen someone with a bit more ass and street-ness
