Chick-Fil-A Booted From Indiana University Campus Over Anti-Gay Donations
Indiana University's campus in South Bend has removed Chik-Fil-A as a food vendor over reports that the company backs anti-gay hate groups. Chick-Fil-A did not have a physical on-campus South Bend store and only sold meals one day a week.

News of the ban spread quickly, prompting Chick-fil-A's president to release an online statement defending his company. "Providing food to these events or any event is not an endorsement of the mission, political stance or motives of this or any other organization,” said Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy. “Any suggestion otherwise is just inaccurate." Some IU South Bend students don't see things the same way. "Providing food is equal to donating money,” said IU South Bend junior Erin Rempala. “So you must believe in the cause to donate the food."

Dan Cathy is, of course, lying, as has been extensively documented by Jeremy Hooper at Good As You. Chick-Fil-A still has two full restaurants operating on IU campuses in Indianapolis and Bloomington.

1. You know, I never put 2 + 2 together... Chik-fil-a was on my college campus as well
I wonder if they still are... it's been about 10 years. I bet so, though. They were actually in the cafeteria and sold food at lunch m-f.

2. I have always know the company was owned by religious extremists
My sister and I nick-named them "Fundy-Chicken" quiet some time ago. I am glad college students are beginning to catch on. Companies that support anti-human rights ideas deserve to be called on it. Of course I seriously doubt the Chick Fil A franchise on our local University campus will suffer any damage. Just one state too far south and an SEC school.

3. Let's hear the howls of religious intolerance from the right
It's all about local control, taking power away from the government and putting back with school boards when it's ethnic studies, sex ed, anti-bullying programs or evolution they're concerned about. But let an institution try and enforce their own anti-discrimination ordinances and business rules and suddenly the government must do something.
