Gov. Patrick passes over Barney Frank and Vicki Kennedy to choose
his own Chief of Staff, William "Mo" Cowan as Senator (replacing Kerry) until the special election, which will be June 25. He will have the benefit of Kerry's staff.

1. I wonder where Senator Cowan stands on the issues.
His resume is one of achievement yet he is firmly "establishment".

2. I thought his resume was a little thin.
When he gave his acceptance speech and took questions from the media, he stumbled over pronouncing "Massachusetts" every time.

I don't mean to nitpick, but that gave me pause.

He helped Romney diversify his hires, but I don't think he was involved with the binders full of women.

His current boss is a Clintonite and Obamaite centrist.

Before this he was planning to leave public service and work in the private sector.

He was chosen over Mike Dukakis, former Governor of Masschusetts and one time Presidential nominee, Vicki Kennedy and Barney Frank.

Yippeeee.

3. When I was reading about Cowan, the binders full of women
thing crossed my mind, lol.

On the other, my thought was, considering his difficult early background his resume was one of achievement. But, again, it looks to me like the overall goal is to maintain a divided senate.

4. Deval Patrick, too.
And, to a lesser degree, Obama.
