What is "Yet another federal government job no liberal will likely ever hold again," Alex?
Hell, we'll be lucky if any Democrat ever holds that job again, given that both Clinton and Obama have shown marked preferences for Republicans and so-called "former" Republicans in Treasury and Defense posts.
Well, I guess a former Republican would be a new Democrat, like Panetta, or at least a new "Independent," like Timmeh.
Anyway, apparently Timmeh has said he is leaving Treasury, even if Obama is re-elected.
I seem to be succeeding in holding back my tears. Not really very hopeful about his successor, though.
