I am sitting in a sky blue room I painted today, with darker blue trim.
Painted all day, will finish the trim tomorrow.

Need to buy blue window blinds yet.

I needed a blue room for my sanity.

Very peaceful now.

Need to get finished before Saturday.

I am going to get a beer now, and a bowl of soup.

I wish I could afford to pay someone to paint for me.

2. I wish I had enough money to pay each of you to paint the other!
the other's rooms, or just one another, as you see fit.

You could use the money to hire painters!

:silly:

:hi:

PS: Blue on blue sounds dreamy, especially at dusk!

4. I have been putting it off for a long time, I really hate painting.
I have some old bed sheets up for temp window blinds.

The old mini blinds were just so dirty.

New year, new room.

The blue is a sky blue, like on a prefect winter day.

I hate to paint trim the most, the walls are not that bad.

look at it this way, you hate it but look at what you've accomplished, may it bode well for your new year.

6. This room has lots of woodwork, really two rooms.
The problem is when you paint one room, the other rooms look bad.

8. Ever notice...you buy one new piece and the rest of the room looks drabby and out of date....
which then makes you feel bad...until you realize that sometimes "one new thing one does" spurs one on to look at the "whole picture" and see things in a different light? Now...that might mean going out in buying new stuff to make things look better....or, in these times...finding creative ways to brighten up the rest.

CREATIVITY...it's the thing that causes us to move on and there's always a new pillow or a bit of paint or some little accent picked up at a Thrift Store that can be an inspiration. If one just doesn't feel creative...or feels they lack that in their personality...then it's a time to dig in and just think "what do I really want to live with..what makes me feel good about myself..."

Sorry...i tend to get into lecturing. But, in the hardest times in my life...a coat of paint and a vist to the Goodwill Store..often got me thinking in new ways about the "hidey hole" that I wanted to call home. Mostly books and fun stuff scapped up from "out of the way places." Now books are supposed to be replaced by I-Pads and Kindles...but a few around are still good for the touch, feel and title of the book in your spot. And, some bit of foolery from some time you remember as happy...a plate a bit of nostalgia.......whatever..........

What can I say...I'm older and have moved a lot and looked to make comfort in every place I lived that I could find that would make it seem like a "home" that I never really had. What worked for me ...might not for you...except the few who get what I'm trying to say.

These very trying, uncertain and hard times...mean we need to have "our place" that's comfortable and "pretty" or "Functional" or "Sustaining" to our soul or spirit...is what will keep us in balance.. Or, at least ...it works for some. And, it doesn't have to cost much at all if one can get down into their "creative/innovative."

9. This room is for everyone in the house, it is down stairs.
It will need a book case or two, some chairs or something to sit on.

It was a bright yellow which didn't seem right.

I had a new ceiling fan put in, we need them down here.

I will put my electric heater which looks like a fake fire place in here.

Everyone has their own room but we needa community room sort of.

Everyone will bring in something to the room.

I feel more relaxed already.

Just wish the room didn't have so much woodwork, it is a old house.

I do wonder about the people who lived her before us.

It was a large family, several generations going back to 1930.

I bet they used this room for a gathering place also.

7. Time for a "Time Out" for basics....to nourish our souls and eyes...
Let them fight over the "Dying Empire" over there at their "New Digs" which is a (circle jerk, imho) until the last "blue html specialist" is left standing.

Who cares. There are things to do...places to go and new things that are served better than dealing with that stuff.

Many Here did what we could do to "reform the system" and "hold people who did aggregious things accountable."

That no one has been held "accountable" is not the fault of "US" ...but of the system in place.

It's too tiresome and tedious. We did the BEST WE COULD...Move ON to something that fulfills our souls and spirits. Time is too short to waste on arguing, anymore.

10. I like painting. Both inside and outside the house.
My friends have discovered how easy house painting can be... with the proper tools, and me to do the work for free! I just can't charge people.
