Holy Christmas card. Will these union-bashing fuckwads never quit?
I just read a "family Christmas letter" that had arrived in the mail yesterday. It's from some old neighbors in the place we used to live years ago.

The author (wife/mother) took pains to point out just how awful unions are making their lives.

First there was the part about her daughter, who was apparently part of a management team negotiating a new labor contract. The union "demands were extreme" and "caused a lot of stress" for her poor daughter. No mention the stress on the workers families worrying about their jobs.

Then there was her poor husband, who lost his job when "union demands" drove his employer into bankruptcy, "which was their plan all along". No mention of how the union benefited by the company going out of business.

No wonder I never liked those people.

1. "Union demands" had nothing to do with it.
Love letters and promises of property tax abatements from some "Right to Work" state probably did it.

What sane person thinks Unions enter negotiations with the idea "We're gonna turn the screws until the Boss breaks and shuts the doors and we'll all be out of work and won't have any money coming in"?

"Extreme Union demands"=No more than 6 lashes from any flogging.

2. "union demands" are always unreasonable....
Management never makes demands... they just want what's best for everybody.

Deep, dark, solidarity :sarcasm: intended.

5. Beats the hell out of me. I'll ask my wife.
She probably already sent one of our generic 'seasons greetings' cards.

I'm sure not going to try to educate them. I've got better stuff to do.

4. Point out that a union delivered the Christmas card.
Unless they sent out their anti labor hate mail by Fed Ex...

6. If they break the back of unions and get wages to go down even further - those
whose income is in the stock market and who get big bonuses make more money. It is just a transfer of wealth from the middle class to the rich.
