1. Ole Timers Final Reunion Ceremonies begin in a few minutes....
most are in 80s.....

Many survivors have their ashes spread here in a final rest place near their buddies...sniff

tis a sad day...

2. What Americans of that generation heard the next day,
is something that present day Americans have never heard: A Declaration of War.

Less then four years later, they listened as the Empire of Japan executed an Instrument of Unconditional Surrender.

During that era, Americans didn't go to war unless they a good reason to do so. Likewise, once we were engaged, we would accept nothing less than unconditional surrender by our enemies.
