The Veterans Administration has just released a schedule to compensate military folks for genital trauma.


One ball - $25,000

Two balls - $50,000

One penis - $50,000

Uterus or vaginal canal - $50,000

One ovary - $25,000

Two ovaries - $50,000

2. There would possibly be fewer claimants if the elected officials in DC, most of whom
will be reelected if they choose to run, would cease sending people to the areas where these traumas are likely to occur.

5. +1, excellent post. Welcome to DU!
sometimes a part of a regulation will seem frivolous, but seen in context and history most of it is necessary. Sure the 80/20 rule or something like it probably applies. But if not for the 80, we'd all be screwed by charlatans who care only for their profit.

8. There's also a payment amount per joint/digit/hand/arm etc..
What's alarming is that injury to the genitals is so great in number that a payment rate for the injury had to be established.(finally...as such injuries aren't uncommon...though they have increased)

I know of 3 people in the first year in Iraq that sustained injury to their genitals as a direct result of duty (and it didn't involve getting them them blown off either)
