Anyone got a desk I can borrow to beat my head on? Mine is worn out...
Posted this on FB, another friend (not the usual one) replied:

ME: Police chief explains use of pepper spray at Occupy protest (w/link)

DR: I see these post after post after post TSS. You need to understand something and understand it well. The local city policy are hired by the city to protect and serve the citizens of the city, not to sit outside of a protest all hours of the day for days for end. As the people who make the decisions or the departments go, they are ABSOLUTELY justified to make it as difficult as possible for these demonstrators to go away because it is impeding the capabilities of the police force to their jobs (and that is to enforce the laws of the local district). What is really going on with these protests is that they are doing NOTHING against wall street, not one bit except as a figurative movement that says "we are fed up". What they ARE accomplishing is to bankrupt each and every city they are occupying through the use of local police, emergency medical, and hospital resources. But as usual, the Liberal Douche bags who are running the protest are to stupid to realize that.

Used to work with this guy in CA. Good thing is our old boss is on my side and will probably chime in and kick his ass (as I am doing).

Don't these people ever tire of being wrong?

1. Maybe if the response wasn't to send out ARMIES like the
cities are doing, it wouldn't cost so much for them. Armies of cops, with their tanks, full on assault gear, all the going-to-war type stuff. It is a WAY over the top response.

2. Ridiculous. The police should just let the protestors protest.
The protestors are peaceful. They are not hurting anything or anyone. They should just leave them alone.

The people who have damaged our cities are inside the banks, in the leadership of the banks, the folks who sell the cities worthless securities, who downgrade the cities' debts, who refuse to pay just taxes.

Don't blame the protestors, I mean the messengers.

This policeman just is not thinking clearly.
