PHOTO: Apparently Sandusky isn't considered a "flight risk" if he's taking a flight

Jerry Sandusky has gone underground since the Penn State child sex scandal broke in a very public way last week, but TMZ just got the first photo of the disgraced former assistant coach.

The photo was taken this AM at LaGuardia Airport in NYC, as Sandusky waited for his flight, and passed the time by diving into a bag of Dunkin' Donuts.

Several people walked up to Sandusky, wanting to talk with him ... but he politely declined to engage them.

Shockingly ... no one hurled insults at him.

As if being polite is shocking? Go figure.

5. I'd like to see his phone records for the past 23 years.
He must have a lot of friends to be out and about, flying commercial and stuff.

6. Interesting....
I wonder where he is going or coming from? Seeing as the only condition on his UNSECURED bail bond was to stay away from children, how is that monitored if he can fly wherever he wants, whenever he wants?

9. In theory, he could simply disappear.
Who knows if he'll show up in court. He has nothing to win and everything to lose. If they put him behind bars, it had better be maximum security & solitary confinement...and even then, if someone wants him bad enough, they will have him. Jeffrey Dahmer was mopping up the floors in the prison gym when another inmate caved in his skull with a broomstick.

10. At the very least, imo, he should have been fitted with a leg monitor...
as requested by the Prosecution but the Judge, for some reason, didn't require it as part of the bail conditions. Go figure. It stinks, imo.

8. This is astonishing
Well to do white man accused of child molestation gets to be free on bail.

Now you tell me if a Hispanic or black kid from the hood was arrested for selling weed and crack on the streets would he be free to roam the streets while his case wended its way through the courts?

12. When I attended Menlo-Atherton High School...
...there was a football coach, a MEAN son of a bitch. One day I was sitting in the outside bleachers at the MANDATORY pep rally and this prick was a few seats down from me. I was basically a hippie in high school, I could give a flying fuck about football, and the players were largely neanderthals from Atherton (home of Meg Whitman, median annual family income of $1,000,000+).

So chant was "WE DON'T MESS AROUND, HEY! WE DON'T MESS AROUND!"

And I wasn't chanting. I was sitting there wishing I was somewhere else.

And this piece of shit leaned in and YELLED in my ear "WE DON'T MESS AROUND, HEY! WE DON'T MESS AROUND!"

But the reason I bring him up at all is that to the parents, he was a GOD, and football was a MONEYMAKER for the school.

He got to the point where every year, he announced his "retirement," and every year, the school / parents would bribe him to stay on "one more year" with some RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE gift, like a HUGE motor home.

EVERY year. He was a bully, he was a thug. If you can picture football star / actor James Brown, it's apparently who he used for a role model. He had a strong physical resemblance (although shorter and more stocky), but he was a fucking thug, plain and simple, and was probably as loved at M.A. as "JoePa" is loved at Penn State.

I think that's the center of the rage surrounding Penn State, beyond the obvious rage regarding the rapes themselves. There are many places in America where football is considered to be more important than ANYTHING ELSE.

it was the love of the game itself that allowed me to put up with the morons...I hear what you're saying and I understand.

15. I wonder what the logo is on the vest. Penn State? Second Mile?
If it's either of those things, he's certainly not making any kind of attempt at anonymity! He must be living in the ultimate state of denial.
