8. They don't use periods after abreviations there
I was reading about that on Wikipedia (?) and it seems they don't use periods after an abbreviation if the first and last letters of the abbreviation are the same as the word.


For example, Dr Smith in London, Dr. Smith in Boston.


I'm guessing there should have been a "t" at the end and somebody forgot it. :-)







And no, I don't know how I found that page in the first place!
