Cain announces he was called by GOD!! Freepers swoon...
The "some of the people all of the time" crowd never disappoints...and the two who doubted Cain is GOD's hand picked candidate are not PRO-GOD! :eyes:

I guess if you don’t have a close relationship with God you just don’t understand.

We all say we want a man of faith but we don’t want him to wear it on his sleeve.

Thank you Herman for sharing your personal journey with God.

GO HERMAN!
====

The money and support is pouring in for Herman Cain, but we cannot slow down now. Please help him by donating at http://www.hermancain.com/

Also to help join the buzz about Herman go to facebook.com and “like” him. His “likes” have jumped dramatically since the attacks started. Make no mistake Sean Hannity’s BFF Tokyo Rove is watching Herman’s “likes” and so is Romney. THIS is the way to stick it to the GOP establishment! Please tell your family and friends to “like” Herman as well. Then let’s bring out our most powerful tool for helping Herman Cain: PRAYING that God protects him from the people of darkness.

====

God talks to his own.

You came to the wrong place if your intention is to attack God’s elect; Freerepublic is owned by a devout Christian, and is a solid Christian site.

We wouldn’t want Cain as president if we didn’t believe that God talks to him. If he doesn’t talk to you, I’m not particularly surprised, looking at your posting.

37. yes, Bush claimed the same thing. It's insulting when someone claims to know god's will
And Bush, Cain and the other crazies always insert themselves into God's plan. Real Christians should be outraged by the con.

And that makes him one of 4: Perry, Bachmann and Santorum all claim divine guidance:

Mitt Romney, Jon Huntsman, Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich appear to have mortal political consultants.

On Edit.

And if I were a deity believing person of any sort? I can imagine that I'd latch onto one and deem it worthy of worship if it needed my input on such lowly things as politics.

Really?

You can't make things as they should be...on your own?

Than what is omnipotence for?

Maybe I'll imagine you exist in my next life then.

Oh, and don't forget George Bush.
The minute he answered the question about his favorite political philosopher with "My Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ" the RWs who call themselves christians were putty in his hands. So when GW said God told him to invade Iraq, preachers across the land were calling it a "righteous war". Never mind the lives and national treasure he squandered--God spoke to him and that was that.

Can't even express my disgust for these self-proclaimed "chosen ones". Keep waiting for God to smite them with a rod of iron, but I know that's not going to happen because...oh, never mind.

6. These people are idiots
They seriously believe God chose Cain because Cain says God talks to him. No critical thinking here. Cain says it so it must be true.

What about Bachmann and Santorum? God talks to them too. And there's Sarah who more than likely will jump into the race one of these days because she prayed on it and God told her to.

God sure has a way of jerking around the RWers.

Herman Cain: God Convinced Me To Run For President

SNIP

"I prayed and prayed and prayed," Cain told about 100 members of the Georgia Young Republicans in Atlanta on Saturday. "I'm a man of faith, I had to do a lot of praying for this one, more praying than I'd ever done before in my life. And when I finally realized that it was God saying that this is what I needed to do, I was like Moses. 'You've got the wrong man, Lord. Are you sure?'"

12. You'd think the Freepers would know the story of Cain and Abel
Herman CAIN is such an appropriate name for this monster. He has no problem selling out his African-American brothers and sisters.

I have news for you Freepers too! He will sell you out (he actually already has you're just too stupid to know it) if he ever won the Presidency (** shudders **). Herman CAIN only serves the elite oligarchy in this country (of which he is one). You're just too stupid to understand it EVEN THOUGH HE'S TELLING YOU TO YOUR FACE!

17. "The ( FEAR ) of GOD is the ( Beginning ) of WISDOM, not being stupid or crazy...."

" If God is talking to him, he's a nut and will lose the election handily. "

Would you rather have him talk to some other spiritual entity ?

God ( the true God, the God of Israel ) does speak in this day and to his people.
I don't get it with some people, they think that if some people talk to GOD and GOD talks back to them, they are some how crazy,,,, no, they are not crazy, they are only crazy to those who bash them and are critical of them.

I rather have Herman Cain talk to GOD and get GOD's wisdom, then Herman Cain getting any kind of wisdom from a man.

The ( FEAR ) of GOD is the ( Beginning ) of WISDOM, not being stupid or crazy....

THE FOOL !! has said in his heart ( there is no God )..

Those who seek GOD and get wisdom from GOD are the most wise people on Earth....

It's the ungodly, and those who do not seek GOD who are the one's who are " Crazy " ....

For God has not given us the spirit of Fear, but, of Love, and of Power, and of a SOUND MIND .

25. It's being stupid or crazy
Take your pick. I'd rather he seek wisdom from an insane asylum, not that it would endear me much more to him.

When someone tells me they are talking to an entity made up by goat herders thousands of years ago, that's when I have to call bullshit. You don't get wisdom from imaginary beings. If you think differently, that's where you and I have to disagree, but just because you disagree, doesn't mean I'm wrong and it sure as hell doesn't mean I'm the one who is foolish or crazy for refusing to believe in talking snakes, talking donkeys, and talking bushes.

"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours."

22. If God selected Cain, wouldn't He want him permanently in office?
If Cain is God's chosen one, would God change his mind after four years and select someone else? Why would God's perfect candidate ever need replacement? Freepers who want a candidate chosen by God are promoting the divine right of Kings, with power remaining permanently in the genes chosen by God Himself.
