Get a What? A Job? 70% of Occupy Wall Streeters are Employed, Compared to 56% of Tea Partiers

A new infographic posted on the Dangerous Minds blog shows some striking differences between the Occupy movement and the Tea Party. The movement is younger, more politically independent, less wealthy and, unfortunately for all of the folks crying laziness, MORE EMPLOYED.

According to the graphic, pulled together by Accelerated Degree, 70% of Occupy Wall Street participants are employed, taking the wind out of the argument that protestors are lazy, free-riding hippies with nothing else to do. Many of the movement’s most staunch supporters go protest and occupy AFTER WORK.

Without further ado, the infographic:

10. Explains the difference in MSM coverage
The T-Party is the same as the demo for cable news watchers -- above avg income, above avg age, many retired.

Meanwhile the MSM talks about OWS as if OWS is not watching or listening to them, and by and large, they aren't.

11. understanding you're getting screwed
has nothing to do with having a job, working hard, race, religion etc. I'm constantly amaze when someone in the media points out the OWS movement isn't filled with just deadbeat lazy bums. You have billionaires like Warren Buffet that understand the government has to start address real economic issues in this country. Why shouldn't middle class and the like feel the same. We are all going to get burned in the end if we do nothing.

I'm more amazed their are people getting burned that feel they need to defend a totally broken economic system that in no way benefits them. The person last night that told me they are must worried about Obama's socialist policies that are built to give blacks an advantage... that's the person I can fucking understand. WTF are they talking about?

17. So why are a full 70% of OWS'ers Independents instead of Democrats? ....
... because they are to the LEFT of the Democratic Party.
