this could be a 'person' in mississippi next month

On November 8th, 2011, Mississippi voters will decide whether to add an amendment to the Mississippi State Constitution. The text of the ballot referendum will read:

Initiative #26 would amend the Mississippi Constitution to define the word "person" or "persons", as those terms are used in Article III of the state constitution, to include every human being from the moment of fertilization, cloning, or the functional equivalent thereof.

The language of the proposed new Article III, Section 33 would be as follows:

Section 33. Person defined. As used in this Article III of the state constitution, "The term 'person' or 'persons' shall include every human being from the moment of fertilization, cloning, or the functional equivalent thereof."

1. So, if this is inside a woman here on a visa, then it could be an illegal
immigrant, so this "person" would need to be deported.

9. Conception Certificates
instead of Birth Certificates? Oh, and if a woman is in the USA on vacation and conceives here, is that "person" is a US citizen? Imagine trying to prove where, and WHEN, you were conceived? What was the date of your conception so we can put that on your certificate. GOOD LUCK! lol

The people writing these laws need nice new homes, with PADDED WALLS.

14. I hope the courts are totally clogged with lawsuits by zygotes and their lawyers
Honestly: they say the lawyers are all fighting over cases these days. They'll make a fortune, and bill the kid when he's 10.

\They'll have to write a whole new set of laws about how and when anyone can extract fees and payments from these people, without their consent.

It's insane.
