You like pipelines, don't you?
Of course you do. Everybody likes pipelines.

Environmentalists are unhappy with President Barack Obama’s presidential campaign for hiring a former lobbyist for the Keystone XL pipeline as a senior adviser.

Broderick Johnson, a Washington lawyer and lobbyist, is joining the campaign as a senior adviser and member of the senior staff.

Johnson registered as a lobbyist promoting TransCanada’s proposed Alberta-to-Texas pipeline in the fourth quarter of 2010, when he worked for Bryan Cave LLP. TransCanada paid $120,000 to Bryan Cave during those three months, according to lobbying disclosure records.

In the interests of full disclosure my husband makes his jelly as a supervisor for a company that repairs gasfield equipment but that's on the drilling side of the business and it doesn't require transcontinental pipebombs.

My concern is, everytime the president seeks to appeal to his base on one point he turns around and offends on another. We're told "We can't wait" so he's going to try to single-handedly tackle the linger mortgage crisis but then we get news like this.

Is he moderating? Is he playing us for saps? Is he trying to appease the unappeasable?

What the heck is going on?

1. that pipe's not getting built...or at least completed
I know enough people that are going to work to break that pipeline and make it cost them too much money to complete.

Enough Haydukes are going to constantly work to smash that damned thing. It's a huge project and they wont be able to guard the whole damned thing.

ciao
